A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that is carefully applied by hand to the exterior of a vehicle. It chemically bonds with the factory paint, creating a permanent or semi-permanent layer of protection. This layer prevents dirt, grime, and stain marks from bonding to the paint, making the car much easier to clean while providing a deep, glossy finish.

The duration depends entirely on the condition of the vehicle and the specific package chosen. A standard interior detailing and exterior wash might take 3 to 4 hours. However, extensive paint correction followed by a ceramic coating application can take anywhere from a full day to multiple days to ensure the surface is perfectly prepped and cured.

They serve different primary purposes and are often used together. PPF is a thick physical barrier designed to absorb impacts from rocks and prevent physical scratches. Ceramic coating provides chemical resistance, UV protection, and intense gloss, but won't stop a rock chip. For maximum protection, we recommend applying PPF to high-impact areas and ceramic coating over the entire vehicle.

To maximize the lifespan of your ceramic coating, we recommend washing your vehicle every two weeks using a pH-neutral car shampoo and the two-bucket wash method. Avoid automatic drive-through car washes with harsh brushes, as they can degrade the coating and introduce swirl marks into the paint.
